7-Day Safari Kenya

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where our representative will welcome you to Kenya. After completing the airport formalities, transfer to your Nairobi hotel for check-in.

If your arrival time allows, you can choose from these optional Nairobi experiences:

• ·     Nairobi National Park: Go on a game drive in this unique wildlife sanctuary right next to the city. Watch for rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and many bird species with Nairobi’s skyline in the background.
• ·     Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Visit the elephant nursery to see rescued baby elephants and learn how they are cared for. Please note, you’ll need to book in advance, and entry depends on availability and the visiting schedule.
• ·     Giraffe Centre: Meet endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, learn about conservation, and enjoy feeding them by hand.

Lunch and dinner will be self-sponsored at recommended local restaurants. After the excursion, the driver will return you to the Nairobi hotel for the night. The number of attractions you can visit depends on your flight arrival time, traffic, opening hours, and any reservations.

After breakfast, leave Nairobi and head down into the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a viewpoint along the way. Arrive at your lakeside lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you can take an optional boat ride to see hippos and water birds, then enjoy a guided walk on Crescent Island with giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Return to the lodge as the sun sets over the lake.

After breakfast, travel through the Rift Valley highlands and Narok on your way to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The scenery changes from hills to wide grasslands, giving you your first glimpse of the Mara’s open spaces.

Arrive at your lodge or camp for lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive. You may see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and other animals, along with lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Return after sunset for dinner and your first night in the Mara. 

Choose between a traditional full-day game drive or a sunrise hot-air balloon safari.

Option 1 - Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

During the Great Migration season, wildebeest and zebra herds may be seen, although river crossings cannot be guaranteed.

Option 2 - Hot Air Balloon Safari and Game Drive

Start before sunrise with a transfer to the launch site for a shared hot-air balloon flight over the Maasai Mara. After landing, enjoy a bush breakfast, then go on a game drive before returning to your lodge or camp for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

The balloon safari depends on weather and availability, and is charged separately unless it’s included in your package.

After an early breakfast and check-out, visit a nearby Maasai village before leaving the Mara. Meet local community members, learn about their traditions and daily life, and see handmade beadwork and crafts. The village entrance or community fee is paid separately unless it’s included in your package.

Continue your journey to Amboseli, traveling through the Rift Valley and past Nairobi. It’s a long drive, but you will see how diverse Kenya’s landscapes are beyond the national parks.

Stop for a self-sponsored lunch along the way, then continue southeast to Amboseli. Arrive in the evening, check in, and enjoy dinner at your lodge or camp. If the weather is clear, you may catch your first views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Start your day early, when Mount Kilimanjaro is usually clearest and Amboseli’s wildlife is most active. Explore open plains, acacia woodlands, and wetlands where you can see large elephant families, buffalo, hippos, and many birds.

Stop at Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the park and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, continue your game drive before returning to your lodge or camp for a relaxing final safari evening.

Have breakfast and take in your last views of Amboseli before checking out. Depending on your lodge location, park entry times, and your program, you might have a chance for some final wildlife viewing on your way out.

Travel back to Nairobi, stopping for a self-sponsored lunch along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon for drop-off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your Nairobi hotel, or another agreed location, marking the end of your safari.
