Diamonds Malindi Beach Resort
Wilderness Solitude Meets Luxury Hospitality
A beach holiday is not merely a brief visit; at Diamonds Malindi, you can begin your day with breakfast in the garden, relax by the pool in the afternoon, or go on a marine adventure or a trip to Tsavo. The best thing about it is that there are plenty of options and there is no need to rush.
This beachfront resort on Kenya’s north coast combines tropical gardens, varied accommodation and all-inclusive options. It works as a holiday destination in its own right or as the coastal chapter of a wildlife adventure. Explore our Kenya safari packages to begin planning a journey that balances exploration with time to unwind.
Location and Coastal Setting
Diamonds is situated on Casuarina Road in Malindi, in Kilifi County, right next to the Indian Ocean. The gardens provide a peaceful spot away from the beach, and the adjacent town is ideal for finding out about local history and everyday coastal life. The resort is well situated if you want to explore Malindi and the nearby town of Watamu.
Accommodation and Room Options
You have the choice of staying in Masai Superior Rooms, Pool Garden Deluxe Rooms, Masai Family Rooms, or a number of different suite types. In some of the rooms, you can see the gardens or the pool; many of them come with private terraces or balconies, which give each area its own character. For those who would like a private pool, the Masai Deluxe Rooms or some of the Diamond Suites should be considered. The Diamonds Suite with a Private Pool includes a separate lounge, whereas the other types of rooms have different arrangements and bathrooms
Choosing the Right Room
People can select either a private pool or a terrace offering a view of the garden. When it comes to families, consideration should be given to the type of sleeping arrangement, the floor level of the room, and its proximity to common areas. Please let us know how many guests you have, the ages of any children, and your preferred bed setup so that we can find the best options for you.
A private pool offers greater privacy, but those with small children should arrange for supervision. Should you be concerned about the stairs or long walks, let us check the distance from your room to the restaurants, the pools, and the beach before you make your booking.
What Your Stay May Include
The resort offers all-inclusive, premium all-inclusive, and half-board options, with the details of what is included varying according to the plan, for example, which restaurants you can visit, the drinks and services available. Our quotation will show your accommodation, the meals, the transfers and any additional experiences.
Spa treatments, diving, laundry and specialist excursions may involve supplements. Safari transport, guiding and park fees will be listed separately where applicable. Our tailor-made Kenya safaris bring these arrangements together so you can assess the complete journey before booking.
Facilities and Amenities
Enjoy a refreshing swim in one of the resort’s three swimming pools, then relax on a sunbed with umbrellas and beach towels included in your all-inclusive package. Explore the boutique, keep active at the gym, unwind at the Mvua African Rain Spa, or discover ocean adventures through the water sports centre and PADI diving centre.
Wi-Fi can be found in the rooms and in the public areas. The reception is open around the clock, and laundry and ironing are available for an additional fee. A doctor can also be called upon for a fee. Should you require any special accessibility or medical arrangements, please let us know in advance so that we may speak to the property.
Dining and Meal Arrangements
The main restaurant is Savana Market, and you may also have a go at Terrace, Indian Oriental, and ONDA, which is beachfront dining. The restaurants and menus available to you will vary according to the package you have.
In all-inclusive packages, some meals and drinks are provided within specific hours, although premium brands or special dining arrangements might have different rules. It is important that you let us know about any allergies, dietary requirements, or the children's preferences during planning. If the occasion is an anniversary or a honeymoon, we will arrange for a special dinner.
Beach Activities and Marine Experiences
Depending on your mood, you can choose an active morning or a more relaxing afternoon. The resort provides facilities such as beach volleyball, table tennis, billiards, and entertainment programs. It also has water sports and diving. The snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips available at Malindi Marine National Park and Reserve are excellent
Culture, History and Nearby Attractions
Explore beyond the resort with a guided tour of Malindi’s coastal history, including the Vasco da Gama Pillar. Visit the historic Gede Ruins near Watamu, discover Marafa’s dramatic rock formations at Hell’s Kitchen, or enjoy quad bike riding in Mambrui for an adventurous coastal outing.
Watamu adds beach outings and marine experiences to your stay. Our Kenya holiday itineraries can be adapted to balance coastal discovery, adventure and relaxed resort time.
How to Get There
Malindi Airport is the nearest and most convenient of the airports; the journey to the resort takes about 15 to 30 minutes, the length of time depending on traffic and when your vehicle picks you up. Domestic flights run between Malindi and Nairobi according to the current timetable.
Mombasa's Moi International Airport is another possibility, with the road transfer to the resort taking about three to four hours or longer if there is heavy traffic. If you get to Mombasa by SGR train, you arrange a road transfer. Our team will organize pickups at the airport or station according to your travel times. The climate is warm and coastal, with generally drier periods, especially from January to March and from July to October, making it attractive to those who want to spend their time on the beach. Rainfall usually goes up in April and May, and shorter rainy periods may occur later in the year.
Who the Resort Is Suitable For
Malindi is an excellent choice for couples, honeymooning couples, families, and friends looking for a resort that offers a wide variety of dining and activities. Single travelers can either relax on their own or take part in group tours. Those who have private pools will enjoy greater privacy, and safari visitors can relax by the coast following their busy days in the interior.
Family and Child Information
The resort features the Simba Kids Club, which includes a playground as well as cots, high chairs, and babysitting should you require it. It is important that you tell us your children's ages and also look out for any restrictions regarding diving, boat trips, or other activities.
What to Know Before Booking
Our experienced tour consultant will provide information on the type of room, the meal plan, the excursions, the restaurants and drinks that are included, and the cancellation policy. We will give the cost of transfers and any additional fees for excursions, accessibility requirements, or special events. Let us know as early as possible during the planning stages.
