After breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, meet your safari driver-guide and depart for Amboseli National Park.

The journey introduces the open landscapes of southern Kenya, with changing scenery and planned comfort stops along the way. Arrive at your selected lodge or tented camp for check-in and lunch.

After time to settle in, head out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli’s wetlands attract elephants, buffalo, grazing wildlife, and numerous birds, providing opportunities to observe how water sustains life within this largely dry landscape.

Look for elephant families moving between feeding areas and, when the skies clear, views of Mount Kilimanjaro beyond the plains.

Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Begin with an early morning game drive, when conditions are ideal for wildlife viewing.

Spend time observing elephant families as they feed, interact, and move across the plains. Your guide explains their behavior while watching for other wildlife around the marshes and open grassland.

For travelers interested in an Amboseli photography safari with a Kilimanjaro backdrop, early outings offer opportunities to look for clear mountain views. Visibility depends on the weather.

Pause for a picnic breakfast prepared by your lodge, enjoyed at a designated picnic spot selected by your guide. Continue exploring before returning to the lodge for lunch and an unhurried afternoon by the pool, on your terrace, or resting.

Later, join an afternoon game drive. A stop at Observation Hill may be included for guests comfortable with the steps, offering wider views across the wetlands and surrounding landscape.

We can also arrange an optional community-led Maasai cultural visit, with timing agreed around your wildlife activities and meals, and any additional charges confirmed in advance.

Return to your lodge or camp for dinner.

After breakfast at your accommodation, check out and continue to Tsavo West National Park.

The landscape becomes more rugged, with volcanic features, hills, and woodland introducing a different safari setting.

Where the route and timing permit, pause at Shetani Lava Flow to appreciate the dark volcanic landscape before continuing to your accommodation for lunch.

After settling in, explore Tsavo West on an afternoon game drive. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife among the varied terrain.

Travelers interested in Shetani Lava Flow and the Ngulia rhino conservation area can discuss these priorities with us during planning. Visits depend on current access arrangements and the time available; rhino sightings are never guaranteed.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an evening overlooking the wilderness.

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge or camp before setting out to visit Mzima Springs.

Explore the designated paths around this freshwater setting, where vegetation contrasts with the surrounding dry country. Watch for birds and wildlife while your guide explains the importance of the springs.

The underwater viewing facility may offer a different perspective when open, although water clarity and animal movements determine what can be seen. Underwater hippo sightings are not guaranteed. Mzima Springs and the volcanic landscapes are among Tsavo West’s defining attractions.

After lunch and time to settle in, enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner.

Set out early for a game drive through Tsavo East’s open landscapes, with breakfast served at your lodge before departure.

Your guide follows recent wildlife activity, pausing where conditions offer rewarding viewing. Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and predators, while taking time to appreciate the birds and smaller animals that bring detail to the landscape.

Waterholes and river habitats can be productive places to observe wildlife, particularly during drier periods. Sightings depend on animal movements and the areas accessible from your lodge.

Pause for a picnic lunch prepared by your lodge, enjoyed at a designated picnic spot selected by your guide. This allows more time to explore without returning to your accommodation at midday.

Continue your game drive in the afternoon before returning to your lodge to freshen up and enjoy your final safari dinner.

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge, then check out and begin your journey toward Malindi.

Enjoy wildlife viewing along the park exit route where time and conditions permit, then continue toward the coast. We select the exit gate and onward road according to your lodge location, road conditions and the day’s travel requirements.

This is a substantial transfer day, with comfort stops along the way. Your departure will be planned around lunch at your Malindi hotel, with a late lunch arranged in advance if required. Arrive at your Malindi resort, enjoy lunch and settle into a slower rhythm. Spend the remainder of the afternoon by the pool, take a beach walk or relax on your terrace before dinner.

Remain at your resort for a peaceful morning by the pool, or ask us to arrange an optional excursion to Malindi Marine National Park.

Depending on sea conditions, activities may include a glass-bottom boat trip or guided snorkeling. Explore the marine environment while following your guide’s instructions and avoiding contact with coral or marine animals. Malindi’s marine park offers snorkeling and boat-based experiences, with conditions varying by weather and season.

If you are interested in dolphins, you can explore a responsible dolphin-watching excursion in the Malindi–Watamu area. Encounters are unpredictable, and swimming with dolphins is not promised as part of this itinerary.

Optional excursions will be coordinated around lunch at your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your accommodation before enjoying dinner at the resort.

Enjoy breakfast at your resort and spend your final full day at the coast at your own pace.

If you enjoy history and nature, we can arrange optional visits to Gede Ruins and Mida Creek in Watamu, with the schedule planned around meals at your hotel.

Begin with a guided morning visit to Gede, where the remains of a historic Swahili town sit within coastal forest. Explore the surviving structures and learn about the settlement’s place in the region’s trading history.

Return to your resort for lunch and time to relax. If tides and travel timings permit, an afternoon Mida Creek excursion can be arranged. You may also choose just one excursion for a more leisurely day.

Alternatively, spend the day at your resort enjoying the beach, pool and available wellness facilities.

For a birthday, anniversary or family celebration, we can request a special private dinner at your resort at an additional cost. Otherwise, enjoy your included dinner at the resort.
